Advancing the Discussion on Cybersecurity and ePrivacy: Meta-Data, Encryption and Law Enforcement Access

OpenForum Europe invites you to an evening with Susan Landau, renowned professor of Cyber Security and Policy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy; Visiting Professor, University College London; Inductee to the Cybersecurity Hall of Fame and fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Joris van Hoboken, Professor of Law at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB) and a Senior Researcher at the Institute for Information Law (IViR), University of Amsterdam, and Achim Klabunde, Adviser to the Supervisors on Data Protection and Technology at European Data Protection Supervisor.

Landau was an early voice in the argument that law-enforcement requirements for embedding surveillance within communications infrastructures created long-term national-security risks.

To address these global challenges, OFE will host a principled conversation, combining the American and European perspective about how to bring about security and privacy.
