*** White Paper now available ***

The European Interoperability Framework (EIF) is at present under revision (till 29 June). Overall, the document is much welcomed but a number of issues are at present being discussed by those who may be impacted by the revision.

The Round Table will give the opportunity to speakers from Member States and industry to explain if and how these issues may endanger the positive impact the EIF could have on the creation of eGovernment services that help realise the free movement of citizens and businesses within the European Union. A Commission representative will also be present to explain the thinking behind the revision and to debate the issues raised.

Panelists:

  • Margarida Abecasis, Head of Unit, DG DIGIT, European Commission ;
  • Eric Brouwer, NORA architecture, Stichting ICTU, The Netherlands;
  • Nicky Stewart, Skyscape Cloud Services, UK;
  • Karel De Vriendt, Adviser OpenForum Europe.

The presentations and the discussion, moderated by Graham Taylor, Chief Executive of OpenForum Europe, will enable participants to strengthen their arguments for when they are finalising their response to the consultation. The event will be followed by a reception.
