Academic report on ‘Press publishers and copyright’

OFE regularly organises Informal Q&A sessions at the European Parliament, as an initiative aiming to bring academic knowledge directly to those shaping European policies.

On 17 October 2016, Prof. Javier Díaz Noci was invited to speak on the topic of ‘Press publishers and copyright – All that you wanted to know but never asked’, a briefing hosted by MEP Catherine Stihler. The Professor explained some points of view on the new press publishers’ right included in the Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on Copyright in the Digital Single Market, launched on September 14, 2016. This report reflects the guidelines explained in that session, in more details.
